Judy-Viv Risosha`s inspirations

Last update; July 1, 2020

In 2005 Liza Minnelli returned to Oslo 16 years after The Ultimate Event(I was there too) and the Queen`s hairdresser contacted me on my Gaysir Judy-Viv page.

No--- not a drag queen... but our actual Queen Sonja,... So there....

He(Tom Eriksen) wrote that actor Morten Rudå had stated that I was the best "Liza" available as he wanted me to perform for a party of few after Liza`s concert...  A train of thoughts went through my head...

I was surprised and delighted that Morten had thought of me, but I just couldn`t see myself at the concert and maybe meet "my daughter" - as Judy-Viv Risosha....

So I declined... Even if the money was good and I could have had my own hotel room...
.....

I never regretted that decision.... On October 19, 2005; we met with Liza after the concert and she was just heaven.....

SONJA HENIE AND JOAN DAVIS IN HIT MUSICAL, January 18, 1999
By A CustomerMY LUCKY STAR 1938 was one of Sonja Henie`s biggest hits. In addition to her wonderful displays on ice, Joan Davis made a great and wonderful comic impact as Henie`s roomie. In addition, Fox cast British import Richard Greene as Henie`s loveinterest, Billy Gilbert for comic relief and Buddy Ebsen for some dancin`a n d comic turns as well. I have always wondered about the fuss made of the Astaire-Rogers films at RKO in the 30s. The Astaire at MGM was much better. So for the 30s, the Sonja Henie films are those I would reckomend. They are truly great thanks to glossy production values and great supporting casts...

The London Palladium  remains a special spot for me since it was the centerpiece of Judy Garland`s  spectacular series of concerts in 1951 after her 15-year-old career at MGM had ended. She was to return many times to the venue and in 1964 she brought her young daughter Liza May Minnelli there as well...

Judy`s best performance as an actress is Jenny Bowman in "I Could Go On Singing" filmed around London and of course - at the London Palladium...

In 2005 Liza Minnelli returned to Oslo 16 years after The Ultimate Event(I was there too) and the Queen`s hairdresser contacted me on my Gaysir Judy-Viv page.

No--- not a drag queen... but our actual Queen Sonja,... So there....

So I declined... Even if the money was good and I could have had my own hotel room...

I never regretted that decision.... On October 19, 2005; we met with Liza after the concert and she was just heaven.....

Vivien also did a gig at the Palladium; in 1956 with her then husband Sir Laurence Olivier and John Mills....

Here I am pictured with Liza Minnelli 2005 and outside the London Palladium 2008.
